LEED

Developed by the U.S Green Building Council, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is an internationally recognized green building certification system, providing third-party verification that a building or community was designed and built using strategies aimed at improving performance across various metrics: energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts.

Essex Coatings' products can support your LEED project by contributing to various credits depending on your project's rating system and location. All Essex Coatings' products meet credit requirements for “Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) for Low Emitting Materials – Adhesive & Sealants” and “Paints & Coatings.” Essex Coatings' products contain no VOCs, no HAPs and no Formaldehyde and exceed all requirements set by South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) for architectural coatings (Rule 1113) and adhesives, sealants and sealant primers (Rule 1168). Essex Coatings can also contribute to the credit “Materials and Resource – Regional Materials” if your project is located within 500 miles of Essex Coatings.

Each LEED project and rating system is unique and it is important to have your LEED AP project manager informed about the advantages of Essex Coatings products.
Essex Coatings also has a LEED AP on staff to assist you and provide you with the necessary documentation and information for your LEED project.
